I have always enjoyed taking pictures, and only recently did I realize I actually had a passion for photography. I was quick to jump into digital, mostly for the convenience and the capability to upload to the computer for immediate results. As the software evolved, and there were pixels a'plenty, I took the leap and bought a Canon Rebel and a year later I made the switch to Nikon and purchased a D300. Thus began my journey...
Nature and Landscape photography remain my primary focus, and the Pacific Northwest, with it's abundant supply of lakes and mountains is where I capture the majority of my images.
My digital darkroom consists of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I process my RAW images to reflect what I envisioned when I released the shutter. Often an image -especially a famous landmark or national park- is only slightly enhanced to retain the vision at capture. Other times I experiment with the endless capabilities Photoshop has to offer.
I try to add new photos every couple of weeks so check back often. If you are interested in a print, feel free to contact me.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoy taking them.
Thanks for taking the time to visit.
